Hi, I’m Dawn Duncan Harrell. Five years of working with people who have mental illnesses plus five years of seminary and I earned an MDiv in 1999. Since then, I’ve served as a spiritual director, teacher, and lecturer on prayer at The Park Street Church in Boston and at Boston Rescue Mission. I’m also former Associate Editor of church history, Gospels, and practical theology for Hendrickson Publishers. My writings include Ten Ways to Pray: A Short Guide to a Long History of Talking with God; personal essays on prayer, which I’ve compiled as Stone’s Throw Away; and occassional guest blogs for Patheos.com’s “Cultivare.” Now while my daughter plays at preschool, I write and minister in a lay capacity at Colonial Church in Edina, Minnesota
